About this item

A mains-powered LED floodlight with a built-in infrared motion sensor. It switches on when someone moves into the detection zone and off again after a time you set, which suits a driveway, garage door, side passage or yard. It is wired to a fixed 230 V supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

    Installed by an electrician friend over the garage door. It comes on as soon as someone steps onto the driveway and switches off again after the time I set. The light is bright and white, covers the whole front of the garage, and the bracket lets you point it where you need. The instructions were clear enough for him.

    The sensor can be set for light level so it does not switch on in the day. I put the time at one minute and it has been reliable for a month. Good housing, no water inside after heavy rain.

    Does what I needed: lights up the side passage. It is 230 V and hard-wired, so make sure you have a proper outdoor connection box. Fitting was simple for an electrician.

    Light is good, I would have liked a longer maximum switch-off time but 7 minutes is fine for a yard. Detection range is as stated, 10 m or so.
